NO REPLACEMENT · EXACT FRACTIONS

Every subset.
Counted.

Find the probability of drawing exactly, at least or at most a target count from a known group of items.

Every size-n subset must be equally likely. Nothing is returned during the draw.

01

Describe the draw

Known counts, whole numbers only.

An impossible count within 0–n is a valid event with probability exactly zero. Invalid inputs clear the result and exports.

02

Read the probability

Exact fraction first. Rounded percentage second.

WHAT THE FRACTION MEANS

Count the favourable groups.
Divide by all possible groups.

Drawchance treats each item as individually distinguishable, even when several share a colour or category. It counts unordered subsets using exact integers, then reduces the fraction. It does not shuffle, pick items, test a physical drawing method or predict one particular outcome.

Exactly, at least, at most

“At least” and “at most” include the count you enter. The shaded probability rows show precisely which outcomes are included.

Rare is different from impossible

A tiny positive probability stays positive. If a six-decimal percentage would round to zero, a less-than label appears instead.

The composition must be known

Weighted choices, returned items, unknown totals and changing groups require a different model. This tool does not infer them.
